Omar Farooq Al Obaidi (عمر فاروق العبيدي) is Managing Director, CEO of ITS. From Kirkuk, he runs the company’s industrial supply for Iraq’s oil and gas sector, with spare parts for power stations and refineries, from tender to site: the tender and its bank guarantees, sourcing from the manufacturer, inspection where the order calls for it, the documents, and delivery to site. Through ITS, he represents international manufacturers in Iraq. In 2025 he led ITS’s delivery of a complete calibration room in Iraq, from the benches to the hand-over. He holds a Master’s in Renewable Energy from Liverpool John Moores University. His business relationships span Iraq and beyond. He makes time to help new founders start their companies, and treats each finished package as groundwork for the next.

His father, Farooq Mahmood Al Obaidi, is Commercial Manager of ITS and has worked in industrial trading since 1980.

Omar’s roots in Kirkuk go back to his grandfather, Mahmood Al Obaidi (1922–2008), the painter and sculptor who, with two fellow artists, founded the Kirkuk Artists’ Group (جماعة فناني كركوك) in the early 1950s.
